Who's excited for the 2nd season of X-Factor to premiere coming up on September 12th!? I know I am! I was thrilled to get the call to do Demi's makeup for the 1st episode which was filmed in Austin.
For Demi's look I collaborated with her stylist. We went for super sleek & fresh faced, all the focus on her gorgeous eyes.
On Demi's eye's I went with extra dramatic winged out eyeliner using Blacktrack gel eyeliner by MAC Cosmetics. Demi loves lots of lashes so we applied Smokey Lash mascara by Make Up For Ever. If you are in the market for a new mascara, Smokey Lash is a MUST! I've been doing makeup for going on 10 years & I have tried almost every mascara under the sun... Smokey Lash trumps them all!!
Demi already has flawless skin so I don't use much...for this look I mixed two super sheer foundations, Lift Lumière by Chanel as well as Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. To apply the foundations I used the Short Duo Fiber Brush #130 by MAC Cosmetics. Blending these two foundations allowed me to create natural dewy skin. To brighten Demi's under eye area I used Touche Éclat by Yves Saint Laurent. For her cheeks I contoured with Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Tahoe, which is quite a few shades darker than her skin tone. I topped it all off by highlighting her cheek bones with MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skin Finish.
Because her eyes were more dramatic I opted for a very simple lip, we used Creme D' Nude by MAC Cosmetics & just a touch of Love Nectar Lustreglass also by MAC Cosmetics.
